Have you recently broken up with your partner on college? Do you currently feel as if you will never love again and that your life will never be the same without that special someone? In reality it probably won’t be the same but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Sometimes two people are better off alone rather than together and if your relationship really wasn’t working out well, breaking up was probably for the best.
If you are struggling to make it through college in this difficult period in your life then the first step that you should make is to reach out to friends and family. These people are the ones that will keep you busy, make you get out of bed when you really don’t want to and generally pull you back to reality in a rather rude manner. The thing is you will more than likely thank them for it later when you realize how much of a mess you were!
Secondary to friends and family, you should try and keep yourself busy. Go to work, have a social life, do all of the things that you would normally do and basically fill in the gaps of your day so that you don’t have time to sit around and mope. The more you sit around and do nothing, the sadder you are going to feel and the more time that you will have to dwell on the sadness.
Lastly, do something with your life. Make a change! Get a new hair style, go shopping for new clothes, join a gym; it doesn’t really matter what you do as long as it is different. Your ego is likely to be slightly battered so make a change that makes you feel great and get yourself back on track once more.
